Patrick Bail: Né en 1962 à Paris, Patrick Bail a successivement exercé les métiers de libraire puis de bibliothécaire, notamment à la Bibliothèque publique du Centre Pompidou.
Auteur-compositeur depuis 1989 et artiste plasticien depuis 2001, il développe depuis 2022 une pratique centrée sur le dessin à la plume et à l’encre sur papier, parfois à partir de formes à l’aquarelle.
Son style se définit comme un pointillisme surréaliste abstrait, fondé sur l’improvisation : chaque œuvre naît spontanément d’un point, sans préméditation.
On peut parfois le croiser dans un jardin public ou une rue de Paris, travaillant à l’extérieur sur une table-chariot de sa fabrication.
Membre du Génie de la Bastille et de la Maison des Artistes, Patrick Bail incarne une approche libre et poétique du geste créatif.
Aujourd’hui, il rejoint la KoMo Galerie, poursuivant son exploration artistique dans un esprit d’ouverture et de dialogue.


Patrick Bail
Born in 1962 in Paris, Patrick Bail first worked as a bookseller and later as a librarian, most recently at the Public Library of the Centre Pompidou.
A songwriter since 1989 and a visual artist since 2001, his artistic practice has, since 2022, focused on pen and ink drawings on paper, sometimes beginning with watercolor shapes to create a form of abstract surreal pointillism.
Improvisation lies at the heart of his process—each work begins unplanned, from a single point.
He can often be found in public gardens or on the streets of Paris, drawing outdoors on a mobile table of his own design.
A member of Le Génie de la Bastille and La Maison des Artistes, Patrick Bail’s work embodies a free and poetic spirit of creation.
Today, he joins KoMo Galerie, continuing his artistic journey in a spirit of openness and creative dialogue.
